Louisiana High School Basketball - Opelousas can't hold off Northwest
January 13, 2024: Opelousas, LA 70525 The Northwest Raiders basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Opelousas Tigers to 52 in the Raiders non-league victory on Saturday.
The Raiders now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southside for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Northwest will battle a Sharks team coming off a 45-42 non-league win over Carver Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Sharks record now stands at 11-9.
The Tigers (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against David Thibodaux (Lafayette, LA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 16-6 record. In their last contest, David Thibodaux edged Eunice (Eunice, LA), 70-46, in a non-league contest.
