Kentucky High School Basketball - Montgomery County nips Lafayette

December 30, 2023: Lexington, KY 40503

Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY), 65-64 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Montgomery County upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Indians host Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY) to play the Broncos in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Broncos come into the bout with a record of 7-4.

Next up, the Generals play the Tates Creek Commodores (Lexington, KY) in a District 43 bout, on Thursday, January 4. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record.
