California High School Basketball - Valencia holds off San Joaquin Memorial
December 30, 2023: Valencia, CA 91355 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Valencia Vikings (Valencia, CA) and the visiting San Joaquin Memorial Panthers (Fresno, CA), saw Valencia's basketball squad hold off San Joaquin Memorial by a tally of 84-82.
With the victory, Valencia improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Vikings host Canyon (Canyon Country, CA) to confront the Cowboys in a Foothill challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Cowboys come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Canyon won 67-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Los Altos (Hacienda Heights, CA)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Garces Memorial Rams (Bakersfield, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. San Joaquin Memorial will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 55-52 non-league win over Mission Oak (Tulare, CA).
