Connecticut High School Basketball - Plainfield fells Wheeler
December 30, 2023: North Stonington, CT 06359 Plainfield Panthers (Central Village, CT) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT), 47-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Plainfield upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Panthers host Windham (Willimantic, CT) to play the Whippets in a Eastern Connecticut - 3 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Whippets go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Windham won 75-38 in their recent non-league bout against Coventry (Coventry, CT)
Next up, the Lions play the Norwich RVT Warriors (Norwich, CT) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Wheeler will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 50-33 non-league loss to Griswold (Griswold, CT).
