Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), 63-51 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Erwin advances its record to 7-6 on the year. The Warriors travel to Asheville (Asheville, NC) to face the Cougars in a 3A/4A Mountain match on Friday, January 3. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 2-8. Asheville won 61-59 in their recent non-league match against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC)

The Wolverines now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to R-S Central for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 match on Tuesday, January 7.
