North Carolina High School Basketball - Hickory knocks off South Caldwell
December 30, 2024: Hudson, NC 28638 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) and the host South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), observed Hickory's basketball team overcome South Caldwell by a score of 89-75.
The Red Tornadoes (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Knights come into the 3A Western Foothills challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, North Lincoln defeated Bandys (Catawba, NC), 78-70, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Spartans battle the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. South Caldwell will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record.
