January 17, 2025: Hudson, NC 28638 The South Caldwell Spartans were victorious over the visiting Alexander Central Cougars basketball squad by a final score of 61-53 in Friday's league outing.
Next, the Spartans clash with the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a 3A/4A Northwestern outing, on Tuesday, January 21. South Caldwell will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Huskies enter the outing with a 5-8 record after their 85-55 league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC).
The Cougars (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers enter the 3A/4A Northwestern outing with a 3-13 record. In their last outing, Hibriten was defeated by Watauga (Boone, NC), 84-58, in a league outing.
