December 30, 2024: Jefferson, GA 30548 Jefferson Dragons (Jefferson, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Jackson County Panthers (Jefferson, GA), 55-39 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Jefferson upgrades its record to 7-4 on the year. The Dragons host West Hall (Oakwood, GA) to face the Spartans in a AAA Region 8 match on Friday, January 3. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 6-9. West Hall lost 48-37 in their recent non-league match against North Miami (North Miami, FL)
The Panthers now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Winder-Barrow for a AAAAA Region 8 match on Friday, January 3. Jackson County will face a Bulldoggs squad coming off a 68-35 non-league win over Brookwood (Snellville, GA). The Bulldoggs record now stands at 12-2.
