Newton Rams (Covington, GA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Galloway Scots (Atlanta, GA), 53-50 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Newton advances its record to 12-1 on the year. The Rams host Harrison (Kennesaw, GA) to face the Hoyas in a non-league match on Thursday, January 2. The Hoyas enter the match with a record of 9-2. Harrison won 55-46 in their recent non-league battle against Cambridge (Milton, GA)
