In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Lake Norman Charter Knights basketball team scored a good 60-43 triumph over the West Stanly Colts.

The Knights (7-4) will now prepare for their match against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Vikings enter the 3A South Piedmont match with a 4-7 record. In their last match, Central Cabarrus was dropped by Christ the King (Huntersville, NC), 54-50, in a non-league match.

The Colts now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Parkwood for a 2A/3A Rocky River match on Friday, January 3. West Stanly will face a Wolf Pack squad coming off a 51-37 non-league loss to East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 3-10.
