Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights (Wheeling, WV) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Tyler Knights (Sistersville, WV), 88-39 in a league match.

With the victory, Wheeling Central Catholic upgrades its record to 9-0 on the year. The Maroon Knights travel to Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV) to face the Buccaneers in a non-league match on Monday, January 6. The Buccaneers enter the match with a record of 1-4. Buckhannon-Upshur lost 71-48 in their recent non-league match against George Washington (Charleston, WV)

The Knights now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Marys for a Little Kanawha - West match on Friday, January 3. Tyler will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 55-51 non-league win over Gilmer County (Glenville, WV). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-1.
