Texas High School Basketball - Navasota overwhelms Wharton
December 31, 2022: Navasota, TX 77868 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Navasota Rattlers (Navasota, TX) and the visiting Wharton Tigers (Wharton, TX), saw Navasota's basketball squad wallop Wharton by a tally of 51-19.
With the victory, Navasota improves its record to 22-4 on the campaign. The Rattlers travel to El Campo (El Campo, TX) to play the Ricebirds in a 4A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Ricebirds come into the challenge with a record of 6-8.
Next up, the Tigers play the Needville Bluejays (Needville, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 25 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Wharton will attempt to improve on its 13-6 season record. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 87-33 league loss to Royal (Brookshire, TX).
