The Valley Pirates basketball team scored 41 points and held the visiting Pinon Eagles to 25 in the Pirates league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monument Valley for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 7. Valley will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 51-41 non-league win over Dixie (St. George, UT). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-1.

The Eagles (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Northland Prep Academy (Flagstaff, AZ). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Northland Prep Academy was outscored by Chinle (Chinle, AZ), 78-12, in a non-league contest.
