North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence trounces Porter Ridge

December 4, 2023: Indian Trail, NC 28079

The Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) basketball crushed the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), 54-27 in Monday's non-league test.

The Patriots (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Bearden (Knoxville, TN). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 9-0 record. In their last test, Bearden walloped Cleveland (Cleveland, TN), 69-43, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Ardrey Kell for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 5. Porter Ridge will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 65-51 non-league win over Christ the King (Huntersville, NC). The Knights record now stands at 3-3.
