The Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC), 50-34 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Patriots (10-4) will now prepare for their test against Providence (Charlotte, NC). The Panthers go into the 4A Southwestern test with a 3-9 record. In their last test, Providence notched a victory over Berry (Charlotte, NC), 53-51, in a non-league test.
