December 4, 2023: Mattoon, IL 61938 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Mattoon Greenwave (Mattoon, IL) and the visiting Salem Wildcats (Salem, IL), saw Mattoon's basketball squad overcome Salem by a tally of 61-49.
With the victory, Mattoon improves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Greenwave travel to Effingham (Effingham, IL) to confront the Flaming Hearts in a Apollo challenge on Thursday, December 7. The Flaming Hearts come into the challenge with a record of 7-1. Effingham won 62-14 in their recent non-league challenge against North Clay/Clay City (Louisville, IL)
