Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) and the host Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD), saw Northern's basketball squad wallop Patuxent by a tally of 69-37.

With the victory, Northern improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 14. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Panthers play the Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Wednesday, December 7. Patuxent will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 67-38 league loss to Chopticon (Morganza, MD).
