Ohio High School Basketball - Chaney nips Howland

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Chaney Cowboys (Youngstown, OH) and the visiting Howland Tigers (Warren, OH), saw Chaney's basketball squad hold off Howland by a tally of 53-47.

With the victory, Chaney improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to South Range (Canfield, OH) to play the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 9. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. South Range won 51-50 in their recent non-league challenge against West Branch (Beloit, OH)

Next up, the Tigers play the LaBrae Vikings (Leavittsburg, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. Howland will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 75-63 non-league win over McKinley (Niles, OH).
