Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), saw East Mecklenburg's basketball squad overcome Piedmont by a tally of 74-54.

With the victory, East Mecklenburg improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC) to play the Ravens in a 4A Southwestern challenge on Friday, December 8. The Ravens come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Rocky River lost 71-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Palisades (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Panthers play the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 7. Piedmont will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 72-22 non-league win over Central Academy (Monroe, NC).
