Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA) and the host Freedom Area Bulldogs (Freedom, PA), saw Hopewell's basketball squad hold off Freedom Area by a count of 48-45.

With the victory, Hopewell upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Riverside (Ellwood City, PA) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 11. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Riverside won 45-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Western Beaver (Industry, PA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers (Houston, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 6. Freedom Area will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
