Illinois High School Basketball - York crushes Lockport
December 5, 2023: Lockport, IL 60441 York Dukes (Elmhurst, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL), 59-36 in a non-league bout.
With the win, York upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Dukes travel to Proviso West (Hillside, IL) to clash with the Panthers in a West Suburban - Silver bout on Saturday, December 9. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Proviso West lost 59-35 in their recent league bout against Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL)
Next up, the Porters clash with the Lincoln-Way West Warriors (New Lenox, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Lockport will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 62-55 non-league win over Addison Trail (Addison, IL).
