Illinois High School Basketball - Pittsfield nudges West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs]
December 5, 2023: Pittsfield, IL 62363 Pittsfield Saukees (Pittsfield, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars (Winchester, IL), 49-45 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Pittsfield upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Saukees travel to Riverton (Riverton, IL) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Riverton won 59-26 in their recent non-league bout against Pawnee (Pawnee, IL)
Next up, the Cougars clash with the Pleasant Plains Cardinals (Pleasant Plains, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 45-29 non-league loss to Normal University (Normal, IL).
