In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Vanlue Wildcats (Vanlue, OH) basketball squad edged the visiting Calvert Senecas (Tiffin, OH), by a count of 49-46.

The Wildcats (1-3) will now prepare for their outing against Liberty-Benton (Findlay, OH). The Eagles go into the Blanchard Valley outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, Liberty-Benton held off Fostoria (Fostoria, OH), 70-26, in a non-league outing.

The Senecas now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Hopewell-Loudon for a Sandusky Bay - River outing on Thursday, December 7. Calvert will clash with a Chieftains squad coming off a 46-33 league loss to Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH). The Chieftains record now stands at 2-2.
