Tennessee High School Basketball - Dyer County fells Union City
December 5, 2023: Union City, TN 38261 Dyer County Choctaws (Newbern, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Union City Golden Tornadoes (Union City, TN), 50-42 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Dyer County upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Choctaws travel to Millington Central (Millington, TN) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Millington Central won 78-17 in their recent non-league bout against Tipton-Rosemark Academy (Millington, TN)
Next up, the Golden Tornadoes play the Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Hawks (Chattanooga, TN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Union City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 84-13 non-league win over Tennessee Heat (Nashville, TN).
