Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV), 52-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Midland Trail upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Patriots host Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV) to play the Tigers in a Coalfield AA bout on Thursday, December 7. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Shady Spring lost 52-29 in their recent league bout against WestSide (Clear Fork, WV)

Next up, the Huskies play the Poca The Dots (Poca, WV) in a Cardinal bout, on Thursday, December 7. Hoover will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The The Dots go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 74-39 league loss to Logan (Logan, WV).
