In Thursday's league contest, the host Alcona Tigers basketball team scored a good 54-44 win over the Hillman Tigers.

The Tigers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Grayling (Grayling, MI). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Grayling was topped by Charlevoix (Charlevoix, MI), 51-38, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Hale Eagles (Hale, MI) in a North Star contest, on Monday, December 9. Hillman will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 80-50 league loss to Heston Academy (St. Helen, MI).
