December 5, 2024: Benton, AR 72015 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Bauxite Miners (Bauxite, AR) and the host Harmony Grove Cardinals (Benton, AR), observed Bauxite's basketball team overwhelm Harmony Grove by a score of 48-26.
The Miners (9-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Fountain Lake (Hot Springs National Park, AR). The Cobras come into the 4A Region 5 South challenge with a 10-1 record. In their last challenge, Fountain Lake trounced Poyen (Poyen, AR), 57-51, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Jessieville Lions (Jessieville, AR) in a 3A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Harmony Grove will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 64-58 league loss to Mayflower (Mayflower, AR).
