The Biggersville Lions basketball team scored 73 points and limited the visiting Tremont Eagles to 30 in the Lions league triumph on Thursday.

The Lions now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Houston for a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. Biggersville will confront a Hilltoppers team coming off a 43-33 non-league win over West Point (West Point, MS). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Tremont falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Hatley (Amory, MS) to confront the Tigers in a non-league game on Friday, December 6. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 5-4. Hatley lost 47-28 in their recent non-league game against Hamilton (Hamilton, MS)
