In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Central Bears basketball team scored a big 59-23 win over the Hernando Christian Academy Lions.

The Bears (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL). The Seahawks come into the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Sunlake smashed Mitchell (New Port Richey, FL), 60-57, in a league contest.
