The Loyd Star Hornets basketball team scored 68 points and limited the visiting Salem Wildcats to 31 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Hornets now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mize for a non-league game on Friday, December 6. Loyd Star will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 60-58 non-league win over Clarkdale (Meridian, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-3.
