December 5, 2025: Maysville, KY 41056 Mason County Royals (Maysville, KY) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Augusta Panthers (Augusta, KY), 92-84 in a league match.
With the victory, Mason County advances its record to 1-1 on the year. The Royals travel to Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY) to face the Bluejackets in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 9. The Bluejackets enter the match with a record of 2-1. Nicholas County won 79-59 in their recent non-league match against Bourbon County (Paris, KY)
The Panthers now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Patrick for a District 39 contest on Saturday, December 6. Augusta will battle a Saints team coming off a 79-72 league loss to Bracken County (Brooksville, KY). The Saints record now stands at 0-1.
