The Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) basketball edged the visiting Boerne-Champion Chargers (Boerne, TX), 51-50 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alexander for a non-league test on Saturday, December 6. Nixon will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 56-50 non-league win over Vela (Edinburg, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-1.
