North Carolina High School Basketball - Garner crushed by New Hanover

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) and the host Garner Trojans (Garner, NC), observed New Hanover's basketball team overwhelm Garner by a margin of 79-51.

The Wildcats (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Sabres come into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, South Mecklenburg overwhelmed Lake Worth (Lake Worth, FL), 83-63, in a non-league match.

The Trojans now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southeast Raleigh for a Greater Neuse River 7A match on Tuesday, December 9. Garner will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 80-71 non-league loss to Ambassador Christian School (Huntersville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.
