In Friday's non-league contest, the host Hempfield Area Spartans basketball team scored a good 70-50 win over the Penn-Trafford Warriors.

The Spartans (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Indiana (Indiana, PA). The Little Indians enter the non-league match with a 0-2 record.

The Warriors now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Connellsville for a non-league match on Saturday, December 6.
