California High School Basketball - Rio Mesa sneaks past Sanger
December 5, 2025: Oxnard, CA 93036 The Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA) basketball edged the visiting Sanger Apaches (Sanger, CA), 59-54 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Spartans (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Pacifica (Oxnard, CA). The Tritons come into the Channel challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Pacifica was tipped by Sanger (Sanger, CA), 57-52, in a non-league battle.
The Apaches now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pacifica for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 6. Sanger will meet a Tritons squad coming off a 79-71 non-league loss to Newbury Park (Newbury Park, CA). The Tritons record now stands at 1-4.
