Nevada High School Basketball - Fernley holds off Carson
December 5, 2025: Fernley, NV 89408 The Fernley Vaqueros basketball team scored 39 points and limited the visiting Carson Senators to 37 in the Vaqueros non-league triumph on Friday.
The Vaqueros now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Spanish Springs for a non-league game on Saturday, December 6. Fernley will confront a Cougars team coming off a 64-14 non-league win over Owyhee (Owyhee, NV). The Cougars record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Carson falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Senators travel to Reed (Sparks, NV) to confront the Raiders in a non-league game on Saturday, December 6. The Raiders go into the game with a record of 3-0. Reed won 64-27 in their recent non-league game against Wooster (Reno, NV)
