The Union City Chargers basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Hillsdale Hornets to 36 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Chargers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mendon for a non-league contest on Friday, December 9. Union City will meet a Hornets team coming off a 57-54 non-league loss to Colon (Colon, MI). The Hornets record now stands at 0-1.

The Hornets (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Madison (Adrian, MI). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Madison ran past Lenawee Christian (Adrian, MI), 51-32, in a non-league contest.
