Michigan High School Basketball - Union City crushes Springport

December 15, 2022: Springport, MI 49284

Union City Chargers (Union City, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Springport Spartans (Springport, MI), 49-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Union City upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Chargers host Marshall Academy (Marshall, MI) to play the Griffons in a non-league bout on Monday, December 19. The Griffons go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Marshall Academy won 54-37 in their recent non-league bout against Factoryville Christian (Athens, MI)

Next up, the Spartans play the Waldron Spartans (Waldron, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Springport will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 43-38 league loss to Camden-Frontier (Camden, MI).
