North Carolina High School Basketball - Wilkes Central ripped by Ashe County

The Ashe County Huskies basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Wilkes Central Eagles to 26 in the Huskies non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Huskies now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Surry for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 7. Ashe County will battle a Greyhounds team coming off a 45-40 non-league win over South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 2-2.

The Eagles (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds enter the 2A Conference 37 contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, North Surry was routed by Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC), 51-30, in a non-league contest.
