North Carolina High School Basketball - Polk County can't hold off Owen

The Polk County Wolverines basketball team (Columbus, NC), was nudged 51-44 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC)

The Warhorses now possess a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thomas Jefferson for a non-league battle on Friday, December 9. Owen will battle a Gryphons team coming off a 82-42 non-league loss to Asheville (Asheville, NC). The Gryphons record now stands at 4-2.

The Wolverines (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Rams come into the non-league battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Highland Tech was nudged by Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC), 41-34, in a non-league battle.
