Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Brookville Raiders (Brookville, PA), 49-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Oil City upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Oilers travel to Grove City (Grove City, PA) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Raiders confront the Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. Brookville will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 72-32 non-league win over Brashear (Pittsburgh, PA).
