In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Ellwood City Wolverine basketball team scored a good 77-66 triumph over the Union Area Scotties.

In their next game, the Wolverine meet the Ambridge Bridgers (Ambridge, PA) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 8. Ellwood City will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record.

With the defeat, Union Area moves to 0-2 on the year. The Scotties travel to Central Valley (Monaca, PA) to meet the Warriors in a non-league match on Saturday, December 9. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 0-2. Central Valley lost 46-33 in their recent non-league match against West Allegheny (Imperial, PA)
