Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV) and the host Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV), saw Hurricane's basketball squad knock off Hoover by a tally of 63-53.

With the victory, Hurricane improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Redskins host Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV) to play the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 15. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Huskies play the Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 9. Hoover will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
