New York High School Basketball - Penfield nips Irondequoit
December 6, 2023: Rochester, NY 14617 Penfield Patriots (Penfield, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Irondequoit Eagles (Rochester, NY), 61-55 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Penfield upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Victor (Victor, NY) to play the Blue Devils in a Section 5 Monroe County I bout on Friday, December 15. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Victor lost 56-51 in their recent non-league bout against Niagara Falls (Niagara Falls, NY)
Next up, the Eagles play the Webster Schroeder Warriors (Webster, NY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Irondequoit will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 64-51 non-league win over Fairport (Fairport, NY).
