The Valley Central Vikings basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the visiting Middletown Middie Bears to 39 in the Vikings non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Vikings now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Minisink Valley for a Section 9 Orange County II contest on Tuesday, December 12. Valley Central will battle a Warriors team coming off a 82-35 non-league loss to Kingston (Kingston, NY). The Warriors record now stands at 1-2.

The Middie Bears (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Green Tech (Albany, NY). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Green Tech was nudged by Shenendehowa (Clifton Park, NY), 33-30, in a non-league contest.
