New York High School Basketball - Middletown nudges Goshen Central
February 2, 2024: Goshen, NY 10924 Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Goshen Central Gladiators (Goshen, NY), 56-50 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Middletown upgrades its record to 6-12 on the season. The Middie Bears host Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY) to clash with the Goldbacks in a Section 9 Orange County I bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Goldbacks go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Newburgh Free Academy lost 75-58 in their recent non-league bout against Mekeel Christian Academy (Schenectady, NY)
Next up, the Gladiators clash with the Washingtonville Wizards (Washingtonville, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County II bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Goshen Central will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Wizards go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 51-40 league win over Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY).
