Maryland High School Basketball - Calvert holds off Northern
December 6, 2023: Owings, MD 20736 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD) and the host Northern Patriots (Owings, MD), saw Calvert's basketball squad hold off Northern by a tally of 42-40.
With the victory, Calvert improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD) to confront the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 8. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Huntingtown lost 43-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Patuxent (Lusby, MD)
Next up, the Patriots confront the Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 13. Northern will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
