North Carolina High School Basketball - Covenant Day fells Cary Academy

The Covenant Day Lions basketball team scored 59 points and limited the host Cary Academy Chargers to 41 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to North Raleigh Christian Academy for a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. Covenant Day will confront a Knights team coming off a 54-38 non-league loss to Greensboro Day School (Greensboro, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Cary Academy falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Chargers host Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC) to confront the Cougars in a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 6-3. Carmel Christian won 71-48 in their recent non-league game against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC)
