North Carolina High School Basketball - North Raleigh Christian Academy can't hold off Covenant Day

Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights (Raleigh, NC), 58-56 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Covenant Day advances its record to 7-3 on the year. The Lions travel to Gaston Day (Gastonia, NC) to face the Spartans in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 10. The Spartans enter the battle with a record of 8-2. Gaston Day won 59-50 in their recent non-league battle against Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC)

The Knights now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cardinal Gibbons for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 10. North Raleigh Christian Academy will meet a Crusaders squad coming off a 67-52 non-league win over Heritage (Wake Forest, NC). The Crusaders record now stands at 3-3.
