In Friday's non-league contest, the host Sycamore War Eagles basketball team scored a close 38-36 triumph over the Harpeth Indians.

The War Eagles (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Stewart County (Dover, TN). The Rebels go into the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Stewart County was tipped by Jo Byrns (Cedar Hill, TN), 60-24, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Indians battle the White House Blue Devils (White House, TN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Harpeth will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Blue Devils enter the battle with a 2-4 record after their 71-68 non-league win over Merrol Hyde Magnet (Hendersonville, TN).
